Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using our website or placing an order. By accessing our website or buying from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or place an order.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

This website is operated by Glow Like Gold Ltd, trading as GLG Beauty.

2. About these Terms

These Terms apply to all use of our website and to all orders placed with us.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on our website at the time you place your order.
These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, Shipping Policy and Allergen Information & Caution page, which together govern your use of our website and products.

3. Eligibility

By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are using the website with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian, and that you are legally able to enter into a binding contract.

4. Products

We take care to describe and display our products accurately. However, as our products are natural and handmade in small batches, slight variations in colour, scent, texture and appearance between batches are normal and are not defects.
Images are for illustration only and may differ slightly from the product you receive.
All products are subject to availability. We may change, withdraw or discontinue any product at any time without notice.
Our products are cosmetics intended to cleanse, soothe, moisturise and care for the skin. They are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.

5. Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in British Pounds (£).
Payment is taken at the point of order through our payment providers. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.
You confirm that the payment details you provide are valid and that you are authorised to use them.

6. Orders and contract formation

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order is accepted, and a contract is formed, only when we dispatch the goods to you (or notify you of dispatch), not when you receive an order confirmation email.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including where goods are unavailable, where there is a pricing or description error, or where we suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.

7. Shipping and delivery

Delivery times and costs are set out in our Shipping Policy.
We make our products fresh, so please allow our stated processing time before dispatch.
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Responsibility for goods lost in transit rests with us as the retailer until delivered; please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for how we handle non-delivery.

8. Returns and refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, opened cosmetics cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, and proof is required for all damage or fault claims. This does not affect your statutory rights.

9. Product use, safety and allergens (important)

It is your responsibility to read the full ingredient list on each product and our Allergen Information & Caution page before use.
We strongly recommend that you patch test every product before full use, and that customers with eczema-prone, sensitive or reactive skin, or any skin condition, begin with our SOS Skin Kit Sample. By purchasing, you confirm you have read and understood this guidance.
Our products are for external use only. Discontinue use if irritation occurs, and seek medical advice if a reaction is severe or persists.
If you have a known allergy, a diagnosed skin condition, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should consult your GP, midwife or pharmacist before use.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for adverse reactions, irritation or harm that result from: failure to patch test; failure to read the ingredients; a pre-existing allergy or condition; or use of the product other than as directed. This does not limit our responsibility for products that are unsafe or defective (see Section 11).

10. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including our brand name, logo, product names, text, images, photography, graphics and design — is owned by or licensed to Glow Like Gold Ltd and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute or use any of our content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

11. Limitation of liability

We are not liable for any loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable, or for any indirect, special or consequential loss.
We are not liable for loss or damage arising from your failure to follow our usage, patch-test or caution guidance.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (see Section 13).
Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the total price paid for that order, except where the law requires otherwise.

12. Reviews and user content

If you submit reviews, photos or other content to us or our website, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display and share that content for marketing and promotional purposes. You confirm the content is your own, is accurate, and does not infringe anyone else's rights. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion.

13. Events outside our control (force majeure)

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to postal or courier delays, supply shortages, extreme weather, power or system failures, or acts of government.

14. Privacy and data

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use your information.

15. Third-party links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, products or practices of those websites, and links do not imply our endorsement.

16. General

Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our policies referred to above, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of our website and products.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your local courts as your statutory rights allow.
